Microsoft Office 365 and Azure are growing so fast, every week we have a new cloud products, services. Familiar to us products get new features. Therefore I decided release a new post category Office 365 Monthly Digest. In this series of posts I'll talk about what Microsoft has rolled out last month and how we can make a profit from it.

New products

First of all about what new Microsoft has rolled out for us.

Microsoft StaffHub

New Office 365 application designed for deskless workers. Now employees can work together, create and manage schedules, share files and documents. For each team you have created in StuffHub there will be created appropriate Team Site.

Therefore Microsoft StuffHub is a new mobile application integrated with existing Office 365 ecosystem and designed for employees working in service-related industries.

SharePoint Online team sites integration with Office 365 Groups

Now when you create a new group it gets modern full-functionality team site. All existing Office 365 groups will be updated with their own team site.

Microsoft Teams admin experience

Conditional Access Policy by Network Location for SharePoint and OneDrive for Business

SharePoint administrator can apply condition access policy to prevent access from untrusted networks. This policy applies to all SharePoint services in the Office 365 tenant, including OneDrive for Business.

File Copy for SharePoint Modern Document Libraries

Now users can copy files or folder not only within document library where are located but also copy files to another sites or OneDrive for Business:

Download multiple items in OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online

You can download document and folders from SharePoint Library or OneDrive for Business with just a single click. This feature available in SharePoint Online only if new experience is turned on.

Simplified sharing from OneDrive for Business from the web

A new simple OneDrive for Business feature. Now you can get a link to share and grant access to any document or entire folder from OneDrive. Optionally you can specify the expiry:

Deprecated

Sometimes it happens. There are two things that has been deprecated and no longer be available in Office 365.

Office 2013 version of Office 365 ProPlus

Office, Visio and Project 2013 (32-bit and 64-bit versions) client application are not longer available. Microsoft will not provide support and release new features of these products. Download and install new Office 2016.

Site Mailboxes in SharePoint Online

Beginning March 2017, new SharePoint Online organizations will no longer have access to the Site Mailbox feature, existing SharePoint Online organizations will no longer be able to create new Site Mailboxes; however, any Site Mailboxes provisioned prior to March 2017 will continue to function.
